Having just started reading this book but having looked at every photo, I can say that this is the book I was looking for to start designing my own quilts and having fun with fabric and color. Jean Wells mentions at the beginning that she took a class from Nancy Crow and saw the Gee's Bend quilt exhibit to begin her journey to a different way of quilting. Nancy Crow and the Gee's Bend exhibit got me thinking in this direction also, so this book is a confirmation of my thinking.

An interesting look into the methods and techniques that Jean Wells uses in her art quilts.Having just started reading this book but having looked at every photo, I can say that this is the book I was looking for to start designing my own quilts and having fun with fabric and color. Just not my style. This book will be well-used and handed annd to daughter and granddaughter. Readers also enjoyed.
