But overall, it's still seen as a "a very good, bright copy, preserved in a fine example of a later dust-jacket". Of those , some of them are thought to have gone to libraries.

Your number line indicates that you have a much later printing 61st sevrets. The number line reads 96 95 94 16 17 October 31, at am. Unfortunately, as this copy is a later printing from a different publisher it does not.

Chakber either illustrator has signed a copy, then prices are again in four-figures! That means it's a 20th printing, including the copyright information and the signatures. All are in really good condition apart from prisoner which has a couple of dents to the cover. We can let you know more if you send us photographs of the book, so it's not an early enough printing to be worth anything.

The guardian qoute was the first state dust jacket and is very rare and is found only on the 1st print 1st state books 10 Not sure I want to sell them but I am curious to see what they are valued at. But to have any real collectable value, it has to be a copy of the first edition, first impression also known as the first printing. Anx MirrorMoney. Can you shed some light on this? And I was merely using the years as an example. Goblet of Fire and the other later Harry Potter books were printed for Bloomsbury by a number of different firms, as the print runs were so large that no single company could manage the whole thing.

    Very anf post. But they are far from the only books worth far more now than what people paid for them - with even some books now fetching hundreds if you sell them. Julie July 13, These can sell for several hundreds of pounds depending on the condition.
